Agriculture Law
We serve farmers, family farms, agribusiness owners, and rural landowners throughout Southwestern Ontario with dedicated, practical legal support rooted in a deep understanding of the industry's unique challenges.
We offer targeted advice and representation to help you thrive amid evolving regulations, market changes, and family transitions. Our key services include:
• Farmland and rural property transactions — guiding purchases, sales, severances, boundary adjustments, easements, and title resolutions for agricultural lands.
• Farm business organization — structuring sole proprietorships, partnerships, and family farm corporations for efficiency and liability protection.
• Intergenerational farm transfers and succession planning — developing strategies for smooth transfers to the next generation, including tax planning, share transfers, and coordination with estate documents.
• Agricultural financing and security.
• Leases and operational agreements.
Family Law
Our family law practice is dedicated exclusively to drafting clear, enforceable domestic contracts tailored to your unique circumstances.
• Cohabitation Agreements are particularly valuable for couples building a life together who are not married. They are particularly useful in offering essential protection when purchasing a home jointly—clarifying ownership proportions, contributions to the down payment or mortgage, and what happens to the property if the relationship changes. Without such an agreement, unmarried partners in Ontario do not benefit from the same automatic property-sharing rights as married spouses, which can lead to uncertainty or disputes.
• Marriage Contracts serve a similar purpose for married couples, helping to safeguard premarital assets, outline expectations around property division, and support broader financial planning. These domestic contracts also play an integral role in succession planning. By clearly designating how certain assets are treated, they help align your relationship agreements with your estate plan—ensuring your wishes are respected and minimizing potential conflicts for beneficiaries or family members.
We guide you through the process with sensitivity and precision. Whether you're moving in together, buying a home, planning a marriage, or simply seeking to protect what you've built, a well-crafted domestic contract mitigates the potential for future misunderstandings.
Notarization and Commissioning
We provide professional Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths services for the signing of legal documents, affidavits, and statutory declarations.
All notarial fees we collect are proudly donated back to our local community through local charities that support those in need. In 2025, through our commissioning and notarial services, we raised and donated $2,392.90 to the Breakfast Club program, helping provide nutritious breakfasts to children at Forest Glen and Grandview Public Schools in our community.
Your trust in us not only ensures your documents are properly authenticated—it also contributes directly to making a positive difference for the community.
